Holiday time!

So we are finally on our trip. It has been a long time coming but is here now :)

Jon and Todd went to a Jimmy Buffett Show and we babysat 'Jack the dog' as the kids called him.

Swimming in Grandma's pool, Holden (cousin, almost 8) came over to stay the weekend and all the kids got along great.

It wouldn't be a trip to Rockford without a meal or two in the Corner Bar. We had to search for a few minutes to find Jon's name on the wall - If you eat over 12 Hot Dogs (in a bun with chili on them) you can get your name put on the wall. Jon did it while still in High School.

Talor's 1st Fishing Trip

Today was a fun day! Talor and I joined with some friends and went fishing. It was slow moving to begin with but we were at least able to pull in a couple snappers before the day was done. Although none were 'keepers,' everyone had a blast and we are all looking forward to doing it again soon.

Mini Golf

Today we took the kids to play their first round of mini golf. They did pretty well, with Talor actually making some decent shots. Layla was in the habit of following everyone's shots and then picking up the ball after the shot was made. We all had a good time, and even had a nice coffee after the round.

Summer 2010

These are a variety of photos from this past summer - it seems like a long time ago now. I have finished my first term of this school year, Shell and the kids are doing well, and time seems to be flying! We had a nice Easter and are looking forward to the next two weeks together.

These were taken while Shell and I were out for the evening celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary. Aunt Amanda came over and made cookies with the kids.

These are some adorable ones of Layla modeling the new outfit that Shell made for her. Shell is so talented and Layla is so darn cute!! The top left one is my new screen saver.

We had some hot weather here for a while so we filled up this pool and the kids seemed to play in it for days. It was a good way to avoid the heat.

These are of a school (kindy) trip that Talor and Shell went on to a local butterfly house. They had a blast and I just can't get over how big Talor looks in the last one. He's growing so fast!!

Our day at Piha

I know that it has been a while since we've updated this, so sorry about that. Anyway, I hope you guys are still checking it for updates. Here are a few photos from our afternoon at Piha a few weeks ago. Shell had a photo shoot for her slings out there, so we went out a bit early to have a play in the surf. The kids LOVED it!!! Talor keeps asking to go back. It was a pretty cool day.
