Puss N Boots Premiere in Sydney, Australia!

For those of you who didn't know (and many of you wouldn't thanks to the short notice of us finding out and actually leaving), Shell won four round-trip tickets to Sydney, Australia for the weekend through the newspaper. This prize also included hotel accommodations (with a MASSIVE buffet breakfast also included) and four tickets to the premiere of Puss N Boots 3D! Unfortunately my passport didn't have enough time left on it, so I wasn't able to go. However, we were able to fast track the kids' passports so they (and Nana) were able to attend. They were all quite excited!

They arrived in the hotel on the first morning with a nice welcome from the TV. The kids enjoyed the triangle bath as the rain poured down outside.

That afternoon, after the rain cleared, they took a nice trip on the monorail. In fact, they stayed on for a few rounds because the kids were having so much fun.

After that they made their way to the Queen Victoria building to look at the cool Christmas decorations and clock.

In order to get back to their hotel, they decided to walk through Hyde Park. They stumbled across a guy making bubbles of all shapes and sizes...the kids had a ball!

A view from the 9th floor of the hotel.

Day two began with the excitement of the red carpet and movie premiere! After eating a delicious breakfast (Layla had seven HUGE strawberries as part of it!) Layla decided that nails must be painted! When they arrived at the theatre the kids got their faces painted...looking and feeling very cool!

They walked the red carpet (which was mostly yellow until the very end) and even did some celebrity spotting. Yes, that is Selma Hayek, Antonio Banderas, the film's producers and the Croc Hunter's (Steve Irwin) family...CRICKEY!!

After all of that excitement...it was time for the show. Talor and the grown ups enjoyed the whole thing and Layla enjoyed the first 30 minutes before falling asleep for the rest.

After the show they visited a playground nearby...I wasn't sure what the part of town they were in was like when I saw "Baby Lemonade" on the building behind them!

It was a long day, so the kids needed a little "quiet time" before going much further.
Talor spent quite a bit of time chasing these birds around...he took this picture and will like that we have included it on this blog post.

It was a LONG day and the kids were obviously tired!

The final morning was busy, but also fun. The kids were able to do some swimming before checking out of the hotel.

They also visited the ANZAC Memorial.

It was a quick trip, but a whole lot of fun! Needless to say, I'm glad to have them home!
