End of June Update

Well, here is another "Talor" look. This morning he was playing and somehow ran into another kid. He ended up putting his tooth into his upper lip. It swelled up pretty good, but he got some TLC at the office and was feeling better shortly after. This is him this evening - not as huge, but still pretty good.

Below are Talor's class mascots - a pukeko and a lion. The students are able to bring them home now and then and today was Talor's turn. He decided to make and decorate crowns for them. We took this picture and will put it into the book that comes with the stuffed animals so that all the other students can see it too. Very cute!

That's it for now. Check back later this weekend (hopefully I'll get it updated then) for photos (and possibly even a video) of Layla's dress rehearsal for her dance concert. She has been practicing hard and is doing great! She has the dress rehearsal this Saturday and then the real deal next week. We're all VERY excited!

Winter Colds...

When I got home from work on Tuesday I walked in to see Talor looking like the picture below. We went to the doctor and found out that he had conjunctivitis in both eyes - good times! So, he has been off school for the week and is recovering nicely.

Seeing as though Talor had the week off, we found out that he was going to miss some good times at school. Thanks Miss Telfer for making school so fun and putting extra pressure on us when he is away! :-) Anyway, they made egg carton caterpillars with plants growing in them while he was away, so guess what Shell and the kids made. I think they turned out pretty cool. Hopefully Miss Telfer does too.

As you can see, Talor is starting to look and feel much better. I thought this was a cute one of him snuggling with Maddy. They really do love each other!

Little Chefs

We have all been sick lately, so Talor and I took the last two days off. Unfortunately, Talor was supposed to help his class make soup and fruit salad today. We felt bad that he missed out on that, so Shell decided to let him to make those things at home this evening. Everything tasted REALLY good and Talor wanted us to make sure that his teacher was able to see his work - therefore we have forwarded this blog link to Miss Telfer. We hope she/you like the pictures.

As most cooks know, onions can be tough to deal with. Dad had a solution!

Although tired, the kids ate the soup, minestrone, and enjoyed it.

Fruit salad for dessert...YUM!
