Happy Halloween!!!

Today I took the kids (and Nana and Aunt Amanda) to a Halloween party at a restaurant called Mexicali Fresh (located on Princess Warf, downtown Auckland). It's owned by a couple of American guys from Oregon who threw this party for the kids during the day and one for adults at night. It was free of cost and a lot of fun!

There were conga lines...

Fashion shows (Talor won most athletic and Layla won cutest little one)...

Bobbing for rotten (they weren't really rotten, but it was Halloween, so you know what the deal was) apples...

Make a mummy contest...

and even a pinata!

The weather was amazing and the kids ran and played all afternoon.

It was a great Halloween for this Detroit Lions player and little mermaid!

We Found An American Store!!!

Thanks to Amanda we were able to find a local store that provides American food and gifts at a somewhat reasonable price. This was our score from our first visit! I was like a kid in a candy store...it was so much fun and the Mac and Cheese was SO good!

General Photos from Grandma's Visit

Here are a few general photos from Grandma's visit the past couple of weeks. She was able to take the kids to the park a couple of times and she also taught them a couple new songs. It was a nice visit and nice to have family around again.

Piha!

We had another nice visit to grandma's "most favorite beach in the whole world - Piha." It was a bit chilly, but the rain held off and so did the tsunami...we found out there was a tsunami warning in effect after we got home. Oh well.

Zoo Visit with Grandma

Grandma arrived in New Zealand a couple of weeks ago for another visit. The weather was terrible most of the two week visit, but we were able to get a few things accomplished...one of which was going back to the Auckland Zoo. She brought along a Rockford Squire newspaper, so that too made some pictures.
